How to Transition Your Skin Care to Spring

As we bid adieu to winter, it's time to refresh your skincare routine for the blossoming days of spring! The shift in weather calls for a change in products to address new skincare needs.

Here are some tips to guide you through the transition:

  1. Boost Hydration: Warmer spring weather calls for hydration without the weight. Swap out your heavy winter moisturizers and oils for a lighter option. Hyaluronic Acid is one of my favorite ingredients for adding moisture because it holds 1000x its weight in water and absorbs into skin quickly!

  2. Add Antioxidants: Combat springtime environmental stressors with antioxidant-rich ingredients, such as Vitamin A, C, and E. Antioxidants fight free radicals that we encounter from environmental stressors like the sun and air pollution. They are best applied in the morning and Vitamin C even helps supercharge your sunscreen. Think of antioxidants as a shield for your skin.

  3. Don't Forget SPF: With longer days and more sun exposure, sun protection becomes crucial. You should apply sunscreen every day as a preventative measure to protect your skin. Upgrade your SPF game to shield your skin from those springtime sunbeams.

  4. Gentle Exfoliation: Winter's dry air often dehydrates skin, leaving your skin looking lackluster and dull. Incorporate a gentle exfoliator once or twice a week to reveal the fresh, radiant skin underneath. Hello healthy glow!

  5. Remember, your skin deserves the best care in every season. Embrace the change, and let your skin bloom with the beauty of spring!
